Don’t be mistaken, I usually love winter. Give me good snowy day any day, but that’s not what we’ve been having. Nope, we had rain, and rain, and cloudy days, and rain…
So what to do? I roamed all the sites to get cheap plane tickets, anywhere sunny, but that didn’t work out. They were either not in my travel budget, or on the dates I could go. (work, blergh, right?) Anyway, my dad came with a perfect solution, he found an amazing deal on a wellness hotel in Germany, just under three hours from home. Lindner Sport & Aktiv Hotel Kranichhöhe in Much (I hadn’t heard from it either, don’t worry!) Let’s go!

Hello fancy hotel with a breakfast buffet, a sauna, a steam room, a pool, nature, and a best friend, what does a girl want more (well, sun, but we can’t be to greedy). Oh and Schnitzel, can’t forget the German schnitzel!

The nature was lovely, and as I said before, we were lucky enough to have a day without rain, so what better to do in Germany then to enjoy the nature and take a hike! There were several walking paths, but as we are not really experienced in the area, we decided to go for a family friendly one. turned we would have been fine with a longer one, but well, live an learn, right? There's always next time!
A nice hike, several sauna sessions, a schnitzel, and some chocomousse pimped with oreo cookies and wine later and we are good to go! My energy is a bit restored, and I am ready to start planning my two March trips, Copenhagen and Oslo, and Barcelona!

The drive there was horrible, rain, rain, and rain again, but we were lucky enough to have a dry weekend once we got there.
Have any of you heard of Flammkuchen? I had it on my first day, and it's apparently a local dish that kinda reminded me of pizza. Very good!

Lucky me! Any tips out there?
